This soap discoloration is kind of looking like a loaf of bread with a brown crust.
This pic was taken when I had just cut the soap. The brown was naturally occurring discoloration that was happening due to the vanillan content in the fragrance oil. The white portion of the soap will also discolor, however, because it had just been cut and hadn’t been exposed to air for long it was still white.
Pretty neat, right? Soap discoloration can be pretty frustrating though, especially since I absolutely love vanilla and vanilla always goes brown, even when it’s not the main note in a fragrance oil it affects the outcome.
Cashmere kiss….it smells so good I just accept the browning.
